Bad start to 2018 for markets

Blog meant for 2 Jan 2018 Tuesday

Dear Friends

Weak and negative start to 2018 for the Nifty. It traded flat throughout the morning but finally fell towards the last one hour to close 95 points lower at 10435. No other global markets were open today due to New Year and hence we have to see how Asian markets open tomorrow morning.

The analysis for Short term as per technical analysis is as follows:

Nifty is in Hold zone.
The indications for individual stocks are –

THE HOLDS ARE- MARUTI, INFOSYS, TITAN, ITC, VEDANTA, HINDALCO, M&M, AXIS BANK

WAIT TO SELL – HDFC BANK, YES BANK, TCS, ASIAN PAINT

SELL – HDFC

THE DON’T BUYS – SBI, RELIANCE

——–

We have to see if markets continue to consolidate tomorrow after today’s fall. Global cues will be crucial tomorrow morning.

Wishing you and your family a Happy, Healthy, Successful & Prosperous 2018!

All the best!
