Markets almost touching life time highs

Blog meant for 20 Dec 2017 Wednesday

Dear Friends

The uptrend continued for Nifty today as it went up by 74 points to close at 10463. It is very close to its life time high of 10490. There is a chance it might touch and cross that level tomorrow if the global cues help it.

Tonight, the global cues are slightly weak and flat.

Our markets have been rallying well since the last one week. Although, it all looks bright as of now, we should not take it for granted since this is usual in bull markets when investors become overconfident and careless and start buying stocks at all prices irrespective of technical analysis. Most of the stocks are already in Hold zone.

Do not buy them freshly since they are in Hold zone.

The analysis for Short term as per technical analysis is as follows:

Nifty is in Hold zone. The indications for individual stocks are –

THE HOLDS ARE- MARUTI, INFOSYS, TITAN, M&M, HDFC Bank, RELIANCE, HDFC, ITC, AXIS BANK, VEDANTA, YES BANK

THE DON’T BUYS ARE – ASIAN PAINT, TCS

BUY – HINDALCO

WAIT TO BUY – SBI

Long term investors who are investing on monthly basis should continue to do so in the bluechips companies.

Suppose you are having any lumpsum amount to invest, put it in 2-3-4 instalments in the coming days or months. Do not invest a big chunk of money such as Rs.2 or 3 lakhs as one time investment since there is always a chance of markets to correct as such high prices. Many individual stocks are at life time highs and 52 week highs and hence profit booking may happen.

All the best!
