Markets awaiting Karnataka Elections results tomorrow

Dear friends,

Flat day for Nifty. It moved in a narrow range throughout the day due to the nervousness about the Karnataka elections results to be announced tomorrow. Global cues are also mixed tonight.

Tomorrow, is also likely to be a volatile day. We have to see whether any party gets a majority. If no party gets a clear majority, then it may not be a good sign for the State.

Also, we have to see whether BJP or Congress leads which will give us some indication of the sentiment in the State and may be for the Parliamentary Elections in 2019.

If BJP wins, markets may take it as a good sign since the Centre also has BJP ruling. But markets may perceive it differently too depending on the final results.

Nifty is in Hold zone for short term.

Hence, even if you have a small savings, invest it as regularly as possible for long term so that you benefit from the power of compounding.
