Nifty at new high 10741

Blog meant for 16 Jan 2018 Tuesday

Dear Friends,

The uptrend continued today without any stopping. Nifty rose by 60 points to close at 10741. Global cues are little weak tonight in Europe.

Our markets seem to be very strong as of now. However, since for many days and almost one year, the markets have been on a general uptrend, markets could fall or correct any time due to profit booking or any other negative news.

The analysis for Short term as per technical analysis is as follows:

Nifty is in Hold zone.
The indications for individual stocks are –

THE HOLDS ARE- TITAN, VEDANTA, HINDALCO, M&M, AXIS BANK, YES BANK, ASIAN PAINT, HDFC, TCS, ITC, INFOSYS, RELIANCE INDUSTRIES, HDFC BANK

WAIT TO SELL – MARUTI

THE DON’T BUYS – SBI

There are no fresh buy indications for short term as of now.

Monthly investments in bluechips for long term should be continued without worrying about short term fluctuations.

If you have Rs.1 lakh or more or some lumpsum amount to invest, then you can choose to invest in 2-3-4 instalments so that you may benefit if there is some weakness in the market. Since markets are reaching life time highs everyday, do not invest any significant amount such as Rs.2 lakhs or more at one time right now, unless you are investing for very long term such as 10-15 years minimum. If you want to invest a significant amount, divide the amount in few instalments over some months.

If you are looking to invest for only 5-6 years, then investing on SIP monthly basis will be the better option.

All the best!
