Rally continues helped by Moody’s Ratings upgrade

Blog meant for 20 Nov 2017 Monday

Dear Friends,

Nifty had a huge rally at the beginning of the day on Friday, but as the day passed, markets cooled off and finally it closed at 10284, up 69 points. The rally was helped by very positive Asian market cues and also by the International Ratings Agency Moody’s report on Indian economy.

Moody’s which is a global organization has put out a report that India’s economy is expected to do better from now due to the reforms undertaken by the Government and has hence raised the ratings of the country. This means that foreign investors will perceive India to be a good investment destination and also the sentiment will improve in the economy.

The rally on Friday was mainly due to the above news.

Global cues were negative on Friday evening in Europe and US.

We have to see whether it means that markets once again rally towards new highs or the consolidation continues.

The analysis for tomorrow for short term as per technical analysis is as follows:

Nifty is in Buy zone after Friday’s rally.

THE HOLDS ARE- AXIS BANK, MARUTI, SBI, TCS, TITAN, INFOSYS, M&M, RELIANCE

THE DON’T BUYS ARE- KOTAK BANK, YES BANK, VEDANTA, HDFC, ITC, HINDALCO, ASIAN PAINT

JUST BUY – HDFC BANK (Blue line has just crossed above red line. You can buy tomorrow if you have the risk appetite but must be alert if markets become weak tomorrow in which case the stock can come to Sell zone)

Long term investors can continue their monthly investments. The short term fluctuations will always be there, but as long term investors we must not get distracted by it. Just continue to buy once a month for long term and monitor the financial performance of the companies in terms of Profit & Loss account every quarter.

The technique can be called – Buy it, Hold it, Monitor it regularly & Sell it (at time of requirement of money).

The above stocks are for tracking and watching purpose only. You need not buy all the above stocks for short term. Only stick to the list of companies which were suggested during the Workshop and Buy them only when the Buy indication arises for them.

All the best.
